Last week some of the year 5 and 6 children got an amazing opportunity to go to Wick Court, which is a farm home to many different animals. To kick off the week, we got a coach to our destination, which took 3 hours. Upon arrival and after lunch, we put our overalls and wellies on and walked around the grounds of Wick Court. At Wick Court, we had an early start! We were up at 6:45 then we did farm jobs at 7:00 and at 8:30 we finally got breakfast. Then we did a further two more farm jobs and then enjoyed lunch. Before dinner, we took part in another few farm jobs. In the evening, after all the jobs were complete, we got to enjoy a hot coco. Most days went like that. We are so grateful for the amazing opportunity.
The farm jobs consisted of:
- Lamb training, which was great fun!
- Feeding the pigs.
- The dragon (smelly compost bin!)
- Holding baby chicks (awww cute)
Monique & Charley.
Celebrating the end of SATs!!
In English today, we sorted language into formal and informal. We are going to use formal language to write a persuasive letter about refugees.
