Chinese New Year

On Monday Merton Abbey celebrated Chinese New Year. Children from Y1 to Y6 attended an exciting and informative assembly to mark the occasion. Children throughout the school also participated in various activities over the course of the day. Y6 children made model Chinese dragons by constructing 3D dragon heads and attaching them to concertina paper strips and lollipop sticks to create a life-like movement, whilst children in Y1 were treated to noodle tasting.
