Drop Everything and Read!

This week started with a special assembly for World Book Day at Merton Abbey. All the children and all the staff had the pleasure of reading a favourite book quietly in the school hall. It was impressive to see so many people reading quietly at the same time.

This is Merton Abbey's first event for World Book Day 2016. On Friday this week, we will be sharing stories in class, inviting our families in to read stories and dressing up as book characters.
