Harris Academy Wimbledon
Many of you will have received a booklet about the proposed new secondary school, Harris Academy Wimbledon. The proposed site for the school is next to Merton Abbey Primary School.
Our governing body have constantly been involved in discussions with the council to ensure that, if the building opens in the proposed site, the needs of our children are met.
The Harris Federation is now undertaking a consultation including the school’s proposed admissions arrangements. As a parent of the school, and a member of the local community, you have the right to express your views about this new secondary school and how it may affect you and your family. The council, and members of the Harris Federation will be meeting with local residents at a number of different venues. These are:
Tuesday 7th March at Wimbledon Park Primary school at 6:30pm
Wednesday 8th March at Joseph Hood Primary school at 6:30pm
Thursday 9th March at Holy Trinity Primary school at 6:30pm

The consultation period ends on Friday 31st March.
The planning application for the proposed new school is expected to be submitted mid-2017, and it will include a detailed transport assessment. You will also be able to submit any comments you have as part of the planning process.
