Merton Abbey Primary School hosted a fantastic community celebration on Saturday 20th February. The event, entitled High Path - My Path, had been planned by a group of young volunteers in collaboration with YMCA Merton. The young people, many of them former pupils of Merton Abbey, wanted to run an event which brought the community together. They organised fun activities such as Sumo Wrestling, Rodeo Challenge, Bouncy Castle and Art Activities. They even provided the catering and the food was delicious. Around one hundred and fifty people came to take part - and everyone had a wonderful time.

The young volunteers provided the local community with a wonderful day. Their work was truly inspiring - showing how young people can make a real difference to the community they live in.
