  • International Sports Day

    Wed 08 Jun 2016

On Wednesday 25 May, the whole school came together to celebrate in our International Sports Day. After an inspiring assembly on the value of determination, friendship and respect, the children had the opportunity to put these Olympic values into practice. The children learned games and sports from countries all around the world. There was an excellent international-themed lunch and even an Olympic-style parade as the finale. It was a wonderful celebration of our school community and our different backgrounds. It was delightful to see so many parents in school to share in the fun. We are very grateful to Mrs Wilkins and Ms Stanley for their hard work in organising such a wonderful day for everyone.

  • Keeping healthy during half term

    Wed 08 Jun 2016

Merton Abbey Primary School and Fulham Football Club launched a pioneering project during half term. Sixty children attended two exciting days of free sports activities run by Fulham Football Club and our regular sports coach, Marc Butler.

The children loved the range of sporting activities as well as the opportunity to be active, fit and healthy during the half term. The project was a stunning success and we are now exploring the possibility of running a Sports Activity Camp during the summer holidays.
