    Today children in Key Stage 2 celebrated Christingle at St John the Devine Church.  Reverend Alison explained the meaning of Christingle, children shared their family Christmas celebrations and sang Christmas songs.  Headteacher Mr Bradley thanked Reverend Alison for all her work with the school over the past year, which is very much appreciated.
  • Winter Fair

    Thanks so much to all of you who came to our Winter Fair.  It was lovely to see so many families in school, enjoying the fun.  Year 4 gave a wonderful chorus of Christmas songs and the children from Recorder Club even performed solo pieces.  The children from Year 6 made great sales people and convinced  many shoppers to make a purchase!   There was tasty home cooked food to enjoy - with dishes from all around the world. 

  • Christmas Carols at Trellis House

    Year 5 children visit Trellis House Care Home on a regular basis and recently they paid an extra special visit to sing  Christmas carols and share some festive cheer with the residents.  The residents will also visit the school next week to watch the KS1 Nativity.  They make this visit every year and enjoy the show very much.

     

  • Year 3 Trip to the British Museum

    As part of their ‘Ancient Egypt’ topic, Year 3 travelled to Central London to the British Museum to  see the Egyptian Gallery.  The gallery holds the largest collection of Egyptian objects outside of Egypt and children enjoyed seeing these objects and linking them to their learning in class.

  • Year 3 Visit the Nativity at Deen City Farm

    Recently children in Year 3 took part in a Nativity performance at Deen City Farm. The children sang lots of Christmas Carols and listened to the story of the Nativity. Afterwards, the children took the opportunity to visit the farm animals.
